July 15th Discussed at the 7th International Crime and Punishment Film Festival

Organized by Istanbul University Faculty of Law, a number of film lovers came together in the 7^th International Crime and Punishment Film Festival and in the academic section of the event held in collaboration with the Supreme Court, the topic “Protecting Law State Against Terror and Military Coups” was discussed by academics. In the academic section of the festival held in Istanbul University, 75 participants made presentations on “Protecting Law State Against Terror and Military Coups” in 20 sessions. Istanbul University Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Adem Sözüer stated the following on the subject: “If July 15^th had taken place in another country, it would remain on the agenda through documentaries and films. We behave heroically but this does not properly echo in art and culture. Having realized this, we determined the theme of this year’s film festival as ‘ Protecting Law State Against Terror and Military Coups’”.
